Lover of peopled streets, the big city suits Gem’s hyper appetite for diversity. As an artful dodger, she transverses Toronto to various destinations: writing rooms, show rooms, rooms with a view, a room of one’s own with room enough to enjoy a rich, creative history and history-in-the-making and that big old lake down the street.  What she loves most is her family circle, and what a circle it is!

My thrillers are about scars, trophies, skeptics, fanatics, rebels, but never martyrs.  When I see people sparking with creative sweat, I’m happiest.  I value memory links in my brain.  I never undervalue the creative intelligence of children - their hunger for adventure is my momentum.
